Waterway system

The Haiphong waterway network connects most of the provinces in the North and transports up to 40% of the total volume of goods transported by waterway in the Northern provinces.

Haiphong has now more than 400 km of waterways with over 50 ports, 03 pontoon bridges, 06 ferry piers. There are 85 km of canal, of which 42 km of Lach Huyen, Ha Nam, Bach Dang, Song Cam improved as follows:

– Lach Huyen section: 100 m wide, -7.2 m deepth.

– Bach Dang section: 100 m wide, -7.0 m deepth

– Song Cam section: 80 m wide, -5.5 m deepth

– Ha Nam section: 80 m wide, -7.2 m deepth
