Resolving Difficulties And Obstacles For Businesses

Along with promoting administrative reforms and improving the business investment environment, in 2023, Hai Phong City established a specialized working group to remove difficulties and obstacles and effectively support businesses and investors in the city.

In particular, the Conference of the Standing Committee of the City’s Party Committee to dialogue with about 600 businesses highly appreciated in the business community in the city. In 2023, the new establishment registration was granted to nearly 3,500 businesses with a registered capital of more than 28 trillion VND, an increase of 8.54% in the number of businesses and 5.04% in registered capital compared to the same period. The total attracted foreign investment capital in the city area is estimated at 3.5 billion USD, an increase of more than 68%, exceeding the set plan. Domestic investment attraction is estimated to reach 104 trillion VND, an increase of more than 208% compared to 2022.

In 2023, credit institutions in the city will also proactively deploy many solutions to remove difficulties, creating conditions for businesses to access investment capital for production and business development; Implement interest exemption, reduction, and debt restructuring according to the direction of the Government and the State Bank. It is estimated that by the end of December this year, mobilized capital in the area will reach more than 319 trillion VND, an increase of 11.56%. Total outstanding loans are estimated at over 196 trillion VND, an increase of 8.22% compared to the same period last year./.
