In recent years, Hai Phong City’s transport connecting infrastructure has completely changed thanks to key projects put into operation, such as the two first container terminals of Hai Phong International Gateway Port in Lach Huyen, Tan Vu – Lach Huyen sea-crossing bridge, Bach Dang bridge. Meanwhile, other key projects are also being built to help strengthen the development potential and attract investment into Hai Phong City.
Last September, attending investors from Europe and Belgium at the groundbreaking ceremony of the DEEP C Service Complex (phase 2), were extremely impressed with Hai Phong’s big changes and development, especially in seaport infrastructure and industrial parks.
Hai Phong City’s business investment environment and the quality of industrial parks in recent years have continuously improved and made breakthroughs. Still, the city can do better by promoting eco-industrial parks, monitoring and reducing environmental impacts, focusing on human resource development, and continuing to improve the traffic infrastructure network to become the largest regional linking center in North Vietnam. According to the plan, the city will develop 15 industrial parks in 2020-2025 and establish a Southern coastal economic zone to create a land fund to welcome high-quality investment flows.
The great efforts to create soft advantages such as tradition and industrial style, improve high-quality workforces and business investment environment, and actively support and remove difficulties for businesses have enhanced Haiphong’s advantages and created a strong attraction for foreign investors. From 2020 to now alone, investment capital attraction has increased sharply, estimated at over 11 billion USD, helping Hai Phong become one of the golden destinations for the leading brands and corporations worldwide./.
