Meeting With Representatives From Embassies, Business Associations And Foreign Investors

For the 4th Vietnam Connect Forum hosted in Hai Phong City, on April 10th morning, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Board of the city People’s Committee met with representatives from Embassies, Business Associations, and Foreign Direct Investors (FDI).

 

At the meeting, Mr. Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City shared insights on the city’s Strategy for socio-economic development, the city’s FDI status in 2023, as well as its investment potential and opportunities, and policies to support and attract investors. Notably, on December 2nd, 2023, the Government approved Hai Phong City’s General Planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which included six viewpoints that should turn the city into Vietnam’s leading locality in terms of industrialization and modernization to become an international maritime economic hub in the near future. The city’s authorities are also researching to establish a coastal economic zone South of Hai Phong to maintain a sustainable balance between economic profits and environmental requirements. 

The representatives from the Embassies, Business Associations, and foreign investors highly regarded the city’s potential for development, expressing the hope to explore the city’s mechanisms, policies, and benefits for investing businesses./.
