The human resource needs of logistics service businesses from 2018 to 2030 are estimated to be around 1.6 million people, with an additional demand for nearly 600,000 trained logistics workers in production and business enterprises. As a proud alumnus of the Faculty of Economics at Vietnam Maritime University, Ms. Mai Thị Thuỷ has worked in the logistics industry for almost five years and possesses the necessary professional skills. According to feedback from various logistics businesses, most recruited students demonstrate a strong application of their academic knowledge to tackle practical tasks effectively.

In the past few years, the logistics service industry has been growing at an average rate of 20-25%, and the need for human resources from 2018 to 2030 to reach around 1.6 million people, leading to highly competitive entrance standards for logistics programs in universities and colleges. Vietnam Maritime University currently enrolls around 300 students per year in logistics majors and about another 1,000 in related fields. Japan Mekong Subregion Logistics Training Center in Vietnam also offers short-term training courses with certifications in various logistics sectors.

In the coming time, in addition to improving the quantity and quality of logistics programs, fostering collaboration between businesses, schools, and government agencies is also just as important, which includes optimizing resources, providing financial support for students, and offering internship opportunities at reputable companies to help students gain valuable work experience before graduating./.
