Stabilizing Employment And Welfare For Workers

At foreign-invested enterprises, trade unions play an important role in monitoring and implementing activities, programs, and policies to support and motivate workers, earning the trust of employers and employees, as recorded from a union movement at a foreign-invested enterprise in Japan-Hai Phong Industrial Park.

IKO THOMPSON VIETNAM Co., Ltd. is a 100% Japanese-invested enterprise established in 2006. Its main production line is bearings and linear sliders. The company’s union was established in 2014 with 930 union members, and now, through two congresses, it has grown to more than 1,000 people. Along with promoting production and business, the union always focuses on caring for workers and advising leaders on stabilizing employment and welfare. Notably, the movement to emulate innovative initiatives in production labor for the 2019-2024 term has recorded more than 356 thousand improvements, benefiting businesses by nearly 20 billion VND.

One of the key solutions identified by the company’s union in the coming time is to actively participate in and monitor the implementation of workers’ policies and regimes, and proactively resolve problems promptly. The union listens to and gathers the thoughts and aspirations of union members, staying close to the workers. It actively participates with the Board of Directors to effectively resolve pressing employee issues, such as employment, wages, health insurance, social insurance, and other regimes and policies. This ensures that employees continue to trust and accompany the business in its development./.
