Proposal to invest and build a road connecting 4 Lach Huyen wharves


The Maritime Project Management Board has just requested the Ministry of Transport to consider and approve the  proposal on investing and building a traffic road behind wharf 3 to wharf 6 in Lach Huyen area, Hai Phong seaport .  This is a traffic road stretching about 1300 meters, located behind wharves: No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 6 in Lach Huyen, Hai Phong.

Accordingly, the road will start from the downstream of wharf 2 to the main entrance of whaves 5 and 6.  Lach Huyen port area belongs to Hai Phong International Gateway Port Construction Investment Project ( Component A ) .  Once completed, the road will meet the needs for cargo circulation of Lach Huyen port area, Hai Phong seaport, improve navigation capacity and transport demand of the region,  at the same time, contributing to the development of socio-economic fields, facilitating travel and cargo transport in Lach Huyen wharf area.  Since the construction investment project of 2 wharfs (wharfs 1, 2) in Lach Huyen wharf area came into operation in May 2018, the throughput of Lach Huyen port area has increased sharply over the years. According to the master plan on the development of Vietnam’s seaport system to 2020, with orientation to 2030, the detailed planning of the Northern seaport group (Group 1) for the period to 2020, with a vision to 2030, Lach Huyen port area is planned along the wave blocking dyke. The, the road behind the wharves will serve the needs for transporting goods from wharf 1 to 9 and connect inter-regional transport infrastructure./.
