Ngo Quyen District strives to accelerate the project progress (November 12)

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of November 12, Ngo Quyen district held a meeting to review the progress of the project for Renovation of May To Stadium into a green park and the site clearance progress for the project for construction of the District Political Administration Center.

The project for construction of the Political Administration Center of Ngo Quyen District has a total budget of 253 billion VND at Lot 26 Le Hong Phong, Dong Khe ward, Ngo Quyen district. The project is expected to be implemented in May 2021. Up to now, Ngo Quyen district has completed the clearance of more than 5,745 m2 out of a total of more than 1.3 hectares in the core zone of the project for project construction. Households in the remaining un-cleared area are divided into two groups: There has been a decision approving compensation since 2006, but they have not received money, the site has not been handed over and people is now carrying out inventory.

Leaders of Ngo Quyen district requested the establishment of a Mission to advocate and resolve questions and problems arising in the spirit of applying the policy in the direction that is most beneficial to the people. In addition, resolutely handle the cases of not complying with the handover of the site according to the law or re-encroach on the handed over site.

Regarding the project on Renovation of May To Stadium into a green park, it is planned to be completed before the Lunar New Year 2021. So the construction is being carried out urgently by the district. Currently, the contractor has finished leveling and completing the foundation. However, the technical infrastructure here of the Water Supply Company and the power stations and telecommunication cables have not been relocated due to the incomplete procedures.

Leaders of Ngo Quyen district requested functional departments and branches to immediately resolve the procedures this week so that the contractor could timely implement the schedule set. At the same time, the contractor is required to focus highly, work overtime in less-traffic time to speed up the progress and ensure safety. Other recommendations of the contractor about the shops and inns on the sidewalk are assigned to the relevant wards for immediate settlement.

To ensure the progress of projects is following the proposed plan, the District People’s Committee will hold weekly meetings and field checks to solve all problems arising in the implementation process.
