This morning, the inspectorate of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly worked with leaders of Haiphong People’s Committee to assess the implementation of state budget estimates in 2019 and build up the state budget estimates in 2020.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Vice Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee received and worked with the delegation. According to the reports, in 2019, the total state budget collection in the city area under the central assignment is more than VND 66,716 billion. The municipal people’s council decided the domestic budget collection at VND 26,365 billion, of which the collection from land use of VND 3,600 billion, the fee collection from public works, infrastructure and public utilities at the sea port borders is VND 1,800 billion. The budget spending in 2019 is slated to reach VND 23,412 billion, equivalent to 110.7% of the estimates assigned by the central agencies, equivalent to 99.5% of the estimates assigned by the people’s council, equivalent to 108.2% as compared to the same period last year.
Besides, the city has also effectively implemented the financial and state budget solutions to stabilize the macro economy, creating conditions to develop production and business, boost growth, ensure social security, improve material and spiritual life for the people, protect the environment and cope with climate change, ensure the national defense security. Up to this moment, the spending for local budget in 2019 has timely met with regular spending under the approved estimates./.
