Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Quang Huy, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, and Head of the Survey Delegation affirmed that Hai Phong City plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the Northern region and the whole country. Haiphong is also a locality that has effectively implemented the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations since the law came into effect. The field survey in Hai Phong City helps the National Assembly survey group assess the current status quo of state management and law enforcement following the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations in Hai Phong; learn about the limitations, difficulties and burdens, proposing solutions to help the National Assembly survey group have a basis for synthesizing and serving the amendment and supplementation of articles of Law on Technical Standards and Regulations. Thereby, it aims to promptly institutionalize the Party’s policies, comply with international regulations, and ensure consistency and unity with Vietnam’s legal system./.
