Korea – 2nd country with the highest FDI projects into Haiphong

Regarding the foreign direct investment, Korea is the 2^nd country that has the highest numbers of projects and investment capital into Haiphong with the figures of 673 projects and USD 6,76 billion respectively.

Korea is focusing on a few sectors including electronics, digital electronics, telecommunications, car technologies, semiconductor, steel industry, shipbuilding, textiles, appliances and so on. The relationship between Vietnam and Korea is developing comprehensively. After 27 years of bilateral relationship, the 2 countries have twice upgraded from the “Comprehensive Cooperation Partnership in the 21^st Century” to a strategic cooperative partnership in 2009. Haiphong is one of the places that attract the most Korean investors, contributing to strengthen the companionship between Vietnam and Korea.
