HAIPHONG SPENDS VND 191 BILLION ON GIFTS ON JULY 27TH OCCASION

On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the war invalids and martyrs day, July 27th, Haiphong people’s committee decided to spend over 191 billion vnd on gifts for policy families, state contributors and social welfare beneficiaries.

On the occasion, the city will give gifts to 47,650 individuals, 3 typical enterprises of war invalids and wounded soldiers, 28 state contributors’ families and 3 rehabilitation centers for wounded soldiers in Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh and Ha Nam provinces where Haiphong people are under treatment. The value of these gifts totals vnd 191.2 billion taken from the city’s budget in 2020.

Gifts for 11 groups of objects include: Vietnamese heroic mothers receiving monthly allowance, families of war martyrs receiving monthly allowance, people worshipping war martyrs, wounded soldiers, beneficiaries, former soldiers infected with toxic chemicals receiving monthly allowance, revolutionaries receiving monthly allowance… each gift is worth vnd 4 million / capita, cash valued vnd 3,8 million and each gift is worth vnd 200 thousand/ capita.

The gift for state contributors this year is equal to the gifts given to beneficiaries in the lunar new year festival 2020. It is expected that these gifts will be handed to receivers before July 15^th.
