Similar to previous years, at 0 a.m last night, Port of Haiphong Joint Stock Company welcomed the first consignment of the year of 2020 at Tan Vu port branch, creating an ebullient atmosphere, wishing for another successful new year.
After received orders of handling goods of the first consignment of the year 2020, cadres, workers at Haiphong port started enthusiastically their works in the first day of a new year with a passionate working spirit. At the moment of changing to a new year, Tan Vu port was honored to welcome “Pearl River Bridge” ship of ONE shipping line from Panama with a volume of 1000 TEUs and the ship “Wan Hai 207” of Wan Hai Lines of Singapore.
The year of 2019 was another year that Haiphong Port Joint Stock Company had many dramatic development steps, continuing marking a journey of more than 145 years of constructing and growing with estimated output reached about 26.8 million tons, which again confirmed and maintained its name and position as the top seaport in the North of Vietnam. In 2020, Haiphong Port Joint Stock Company set the target of achieving the total output at 35 million tons, yielding profit of 1,732 billion dong, attempting to boost one of the key task is undertaking the investment of Lach Huyen port project, increasing the competitiveness ability of Haiphong seaport and general Vietnam seaports, continuously confirmed the position of Haiphong port as the top seaport in the seaport system in the northern region.
