HAIPHONG PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE HOLDS REGULAR CONFERENCE IN JANUARY

This morning, the People’s Committee of Haiphong held the regular conference to assess the implementation of socio-economic targets, the national defense and security in January, discuss plans to supplement tasks for the following months under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Van Tung – Deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee.

In January, the city has actively directed departments, sectors and localities to deploy the central and municipal resolutions, creating impetus since the early days of the New Year. The economic sectors have remained high growth over the same period of the previous year, as the industrial production, the total cargo retails and revenue from consumption and tourists, decoration and preparations for the people to welcome a happy and cozy New Year. The city has timely beefed up the prevention of coronavirus infection.

In regards of targets for the following months, city leaders requested the sectors, branches and localities to raise responsibility and creativity, implement the targets since the early days of the New Year, deploy the disciplines of public services, make thorough preparations for the organization of the party congress at grassroots to lead up to the 16^th municipal party congress, take measures to create changes in implementing the year’s theme of the city; perfect the scheme to construct and develop the brand of Haiphong’s tourism till 2025 with visions towards 2030; implement the social policy policies, prevent diseases among other important contents./.
