HAIPHONG PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE HOLDS REGULAR CONFERENCE IN APRIL

Chairman of Haiphong People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung presided over the video regular conference in April  to assess the socio-economy in April and the first 4 months of 2021, hold discussions on supplementation to targets in May and the following months.

The city’s socio-economy has gained good results in April and the first 4 months. Budget collection reaches 6,863.95 billion dongs. The port cargo throughput in the first 4 months reaches 44.07 tons. Haiphong welcomes 1.7 milion tourists in the first 4 months. FDI reaches over USD 1 billion, 3.36 times higher than the same period of 2020.

Many fields recorded good growth such as industrial production, port cargo throughput, budget collection, FDI attraction… However, land acquisition is below schedule.

Concluding the conference, chairman Nguyen Van Tung asked the Tax sector and Department of Finance to deploy measures to increase budget collection. Related units should speed up land acquisition and execution of key projects.

Covid-19 has been complicated in the world and Haiphong is at high risk of outbreaking the pandemic. Chairman Nguyen Van Tung asked the Minstry of  Health to promptly preapare neccesary medical facilities. All units should actively abide by the Ministry’s recommendation 5K and timely grasp the situation. Haiphong will continue strengthening the management over entry and exit
