The Tan Vu Branch, whose 2024 goal is to exceed 17.5 million tons of throughput, unloaded its first cargo of 2024 from the Maersk Victoria Ship. Speaking at the cargo unloading ceremony, the representative of Hai Phong Port’s executives remarked that many flexible solutions in operation and management and the promotion of digitization to improve competitiveness had helped Hai Phong Port overcome difficulties and comprehensively complete all assigned production and business targets in 2023. Tan Vu Port was always a leading unit in labor, production, and business activities as a contributor to that overall achievement.

In 2024, it is forecast that negative fluctuations will affect the economy in general and the growth of the maritime and seaport industry in particular. At the meaningful cargo unloading ceremony, with a spirit of determination, Hai Phong Port leaders requested the Tan Vu Port Branch’s staff and workers to closely follow the company’s goals and plans and proactively propose reasonable and flexible solutions in exploitation and management organization to complete all assigned tasks. At the same time, Hoang Dieu Port and Chua Ve Port also handled breakbulk cargo. In January 2024, Hai Phong Port expects to handle 3,139,000 tons of throughput, of which container cargo is 155,000 TEUs./.
