Hai Phong officially approved the investor of the project on complex of commercial and entertainment centers, 5-star hotels and offices for lease to implement the urban embellishment project in Sat market area.

On November 11, 2021, Hai Phong City People’s Committee issued Decision No. 3232/QD-UBND approving the Investor of the project on complex of commercial and entertainment centers, 5-star hotels and offices for lease to implement the urban embellishment project in Sat market area. Eligible investors are Saigon Garment – Match Joint Stock Company.

The project on complex of commercial and entertainment centers, 5-star hotels and offices for lease to implement the urban embellishment project in Sat market area is built on an area of 15,200m²; in Phan Boi Chau ward, Hong Bang district, Hai Phong city. The project is located at Quang Trung road, next to Tam Bac river, the iconic river of Hai Phong city.

The project scope is specifically as follows: Maximum construction height: 146m, calculated from 0.00 (equivalent to 40 floors, including 02 basements). Construction density of the basement block of 46.05%; Construction density of tower block of 40%. The remaining area includes the campus, landscape, trees and other utilities. Total expected investment of the project is: 6.060 billion dong. Project performance duration: 36 months from the date the Investor is decided to lease the land.

Sat Market Trade Center is located in a prime location right next to Tam Bac River and on Quang Trung Street, which plays an important role and meaning. Until 1992, after the market fire incident (in 1985), Sat Market was built into a trade and service center with construction scale design of six floors (ground area of more than 13,000m², usable area of nearly 40,000m) with estimated investment capital of about 10 million USD. The spontaneously developing market area will be newly built, spaciously with more than 2,000 stalls, with hotel, restaurant, discotheque and office area, etc in three upper floors .

However, since its construction until now, the operation of Sat Market Trade Center has been ineffective, the construction works have been degraded, and the Investor has not completed the works according to the approved Project.
