Chairman of National Assembly Meets With Haiphong Civil Servants And Workers

On the morning of January 6th, Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, and Hai Phong City’s National Assembly Delegation had a thematic meeting with nearly 1,000 voters representing Haiphong workers, officials, and employees.

The conference was organized by Hai Phong City’s National Assembly Delegation and Hai Phong City’s Labor Confederation. The meeting was considered special as it was held on the 78th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam’s first general election (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2024) and because the city’s entire political system has completed all its socio-economic targets by 2023. At the meeting, Hai Phong City’s National Assembly Delegation asked local voters representing workers, officials, and laborers to promote their spirit, democracy, and straightforwardness to propose to the National Assembly and the Government a series of issues that concern a large number of workers, such as social insurance policies, health insurance, unemployment insurance; policies on employment, vocational training, housing, income, proposed solutions to promote socio-economic development, national defense, and security, etc. After the conference, the National Assembly delegation claimed to fully synthesize and prepare a general report to submit to the National Assembly, central government, and local agencies for consideration and resolution according to their authority. /.
