Application Of Non-Stop Toll Collection System Ready At Cat Bi Airport

The Ministry of Transport believes that the facilities and the technical and technological solutions to deploy non-stop toll collection at airports with large traffic volumes are ready and available for immediate implementation. The five major airports that The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) plans to deploy automatic toll collection this time are Noi Bai, Cat Bi, Da Nang, Phu Bai, and Tan Son Nhat airports.

The subjects paying fees at the airport’s toll stations are cars entering and leaving the passenger pick-up and drop-off area within a limited time, depending on each airport. Toll collection service providers have coordinated with Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and related units to operate a successful test run, proving that the non-stop toll collection systems are ready for certain airports with dense traffic.

Currently, the non-stop road toll collection system has been installed and put into operation nationwide. The conditions of facilities and technical and technological solutions to deploy ETC fee collection at the airport are also ready for operation immediately. The Ministry of Transport proposed that the Government would allow a pilot ETC toll collection at the airport based on the road ETC toll collection system./.
