VIETNAM IS AMONG TOP 20 FASTEST GROWING TOURISM COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD

According to United Nations’ World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Vietnam has ranked among the world’s top 20 fastest growing countries in 2019. Two other countries in Southeast Asia including Myanmar and Philippines are also in this group.

According to UNWTO, there are 1.5 billion trips abroad in 2019, which is an increase of 4% compared to 2018 and 1.5 times higher than the previous 10 years. France is still the most visited country with over 90 million visitors in the past year. In 2019, Myanmar is the country with the fastest tourism growth with a 40% increase in the number of visitors. Meanwhile, Vietnam ranked 7^th with an increase of 16%.
