JAPANESE COAST GUARD SHIP VISITS HAIPHONG


Under the cooperation plan between the Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and Japan, this morning, the Japanese coast guard ship Akebono and 245 crew members arrived in Tan Cang Haiphong container terminal (TC – HICT), beginning the working visit in Vietnam in 3 days, from April 20-24.

In the context of ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, that delays the exchange activities and cooperation in the national defense sector between the two nations, the visit to Haiphong city’s of the Japanese ship Akebono has contributed to maintaining and boosting the exchanges among the naval forces in particular and the cooperation in national defense in general. During its working program, officers and soldiers on the ship will be introduced about the Vietnam’s People’s Naval Forces via online training classes. The Japanese  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam gave cordial greetings to the commander of the Vietnam’s People’s Naval Forces, commander of Coast Guard zone 1 and visited one coast guard unit of Vietnam, talked online with officers, sailors and trainees on the coast guard ship Akebono. During the program, functional agencies of Vietnam have paid attention to Covid-19 prevention and control, ensuring safety and complying with the regulations./.
