Haiphong leader meets voters in Cat Hai district

On Wednesday morning, Mr Le Van Thanh, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee cum Chairman of Haiphong People’s Council and delegation No1 of Haiphong People’s Council met voters in Cat Hai district.

At the meeting, Haiphong People’s Council delegates briefly informed the 14th session of 15th Haiphong People’s Council which is expected to take place in early July, results of implementing resolution of Haiphong people’s Council on socio-economic development, national security and defence in the first 6 months of 2020, tasks, targets and measures for the last 6 months of the year as well as answered voters’ questions at the 13th session of 15th Haiphong People’s Council.

Cat Hai district voters are glad to see the city’s great socio-economic achievements in the first 6 months of 2020. In spite of being seriously affected by Covid-19 pandemic, with high determinations and great efforts, Haiphong basically completed all set targets as schedule, especially ensuring social order and security. To date, no COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the city. In May and June, Haiphong held ground breaking ceremony, started work and inaugurated many key project on the 65th anniversary of Haiphong’s liberation day, including infrastructures projects in Cat Hai district.

Cat Hai district voters proposed the city government to deploy measures of restoring local economy after Covid-19 pandemic, issue amended planning of Cat Ba township, boost Cat Ba tourism development, hasten execution tempo of traffic projects and bus routes in Cat Ba district.

Haiphong People’s Council Chairman Le Van Thanh thanked ideas contributed by voters in Cat Hai district and emphasized that in the coming period, the city government would continue to invest in traffic infrastructures and boost tourism industry to improve income and living conditions of local residents./.
