Exhibition room on traditional buffalo fighting festival

In a series of events in celebration of Do Son buffalo fighting festival 2019 and 30th years of resuming the festival, Do Son district has opened an exhibition room on traditional buffalo fighting festival to help residents and tourists understand more about this unique festival of Haiphong.

As one of 15 typical festivals in Vietnam and in recognition as the national intangible cultural relic, Do Son buffalo fighting festival embraces both cultural and religious values. Furthermore, the festival is a unique tourism product that has attracted many domestic and foreign tourists. The exhibition rooms display many images, pictures and objects since the festival was resumed to introduce eye- catching attacks, the buffalo championship each year, souvenirs, flags, awards for great contributors to the festival.

This is a meaningful activity to preserve the cultural values of Do Son buffalo fighting festival and educate and encourage the descendants to uphold this priceless festival.
