On the morning of October 15th, Mr. Le Tien Chau – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong City’s Party Committee, and Head of Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation, hosted a reception for Mr. Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Hernandez Guillen on his visit and work in Haiphong City. Mr. Le Khac Nam – Vice Chairman of Haiphong Peoples Committee also attended the reception.
Welcoming the Cuban Ambassador to visit and work in Hai Phong, the city’s Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau noted with pleasure the fruitful developments of the bilateral relations. It affirmed that Vietnam consistently treasures the solidarity and special solidarity between the two Parties, countries, and peoples. Cuba is always in the hearts of Vietnamese people. The special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cuba are valuable assets that the two Parties and peoples need to preserve, cultivate, develop and pass on to future generations. Sharing the difficulties of the Cuban people, Haiphong City’s Party Committee Secretary emphasized that, besides Vietnam’s policies towards Cuba, Hai Phong City hopes that the two sides will further study and cooperate, especially in the fields of tourism and medical services. He also thanked the Cuban Ambassador for his enthusiastic contributions during his time working in Vietnam, which contributed to consolidating trust and tightening solidarity between the two nations.
Sincerely thanking the special love of Hai Phong City and the Secretary of the City Party Committee personally, Cuban Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen expressed his firm belief that Hai Phong will continue to be part of programs and activities to contribute to fostering the cooperative relationship in all fields between Cuba and Vietnam to growth further in the time ahead, tightening the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Cuba in general, Hai Phong and Cuba in particular, towards the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba in 2025 (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025). /.
