In the morning of April 12, the Standing Committee of the City Party worked with Geleximco Group on the investment of Doi Rong International Tourism Project in Van Huong ward, Do Son district and some projects in the city. Comrade Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Thi Nghia, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Head of Hai Phong’s National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of City Party Committee, Chairman of City People’s Committee; Nguyen Xuan Binh, Member of Standing Committee of City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of City People’s Committee and leaders of departments, branches and Do Son district. On the side of Geleximco Group, there was Mr. Vu Van Tien, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors.

From the results of the field survey, Geleximco Group intended to invest in the project of Doi Rong International Tourism Area with an area of nearly 500 ha on the sea-leveling foundation in Van Huong ward, Do Son district, oriented for development with modern international standards including main function as an Urban area for conference tourism, eco-tourism, high-class resort housing for tourism; 5 star hotel; recreation area, golf course and other services. At the same time, the Group will also conduct necessary conditions, research investing in Solid Waste Treatment Plant by waste incineration technology in the area of Thuy Nguyen district with a capacity of 2,000 tons/day, domestic, industrial and medical waste treatment with a total investment of about 200 million USD; using the current most advanced energy-recovery waste incineration technology by Hitachi technology (Japan). The Group is committed to having sufficient financial, technical and experience capabilities to successfully implement many environmentally friendly waste-to-energy projects; ready to deploy projects immediately after being approved and licensed by the city, ensuring the project comes into operation as soon as possible.
Through hearing the reports and opinions of the delegates, Comrade Le Van Thanh highly appreciated the investment plan of Geleximco Group in Hai Phong. For Doi Rong project, he asked the City People’s Committee to direct the branches, coordinate with Do Son district, urgently complete the conditions of planning, ground area and connective infrastructure investment, so Geleximco Group can commence construction of the project as soon as possible. For the solid waste treatment plant using waste-to-energy technology, he asked the relevant branches, localities and units to continue performing field studies, carefully study the plans on land use, environmental protection, together with Geleximco Group complete the investment procedures.
Comrade Le Van Thanh, Secretary of the Party Committee emphasized that the projects which Geleximco Group are studying to invest have great significance to the development of the city, so the city would create the best conditions for the investors to deploy the work effectively. He also directed the City People’s Committee to conduct periodic planning, frequently work with Geleximco leaders to focus on removing arising problems, and soon bring investment ideas into reality.
