SPEEDING UP DISBURSEMENT OF PUBLIC INVESTMENT CAPITAL

Mr Nguyen Xuan Binh – Standing Deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee presided over the conference to hear reports on the deployment and disbursement of public investment capital for key projects in the city. Also attending the conference were leaders of sectors, branches and localities, the Management Boards of Haiphong Transport Works Investment and Construction Project, the Urban Development, Civil Works Investment and Construction Project.

At the conference, representatives of the Management Board of Haiphong Transport Works Investment and Construction Project reported the investment in Nam Cau Binh intersection project with the investment capital of VND 1,350 billion, VND 900 billion has been disbursed and the remainder of VND 400 billion will be disbursed in 2020; new Dinh bridge project with the investment capital of VND 269 billion, VND 53 billion is projected within 2020; Quang Thanh bridge with the investment capital of VND 398 billion; the Nam Cau Binh to the Ton Duc Thang- Mang Nuoc- Highway No.5 crossroad with the investment capital of VND 770 billion, in which VND 200 billion will be disbursed this year. The Project Management Board asked the Department of Finance to allocate VND 55 billion in June 2020 for the first phase and pay in advance for the construction and installation contracts.

According to the Urban Development, Civil Works Investment and Construction Project, VND 30 billion has been disbursed for upgrading and refurbishing old and downgraded apartment buildings, yet, according to the Department of Construction, the in-need capital is bigger as many apartment buildings in Van My, Le Lai in Ngo Quyen district have been seriously downgraded, impacting the daily life of local residents.

In regards to the Rainwater, Sewage Drainage and Solid Waste Management Project of Haiphong phase 1, Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Binh assigned Department of Construction to collaborate with the Haiphong People’s Committee Office and the Project Management Board to review the commitments in the agreements, contracts and work volume to report the municipal people’s committee on June 21./.
