(Haiphong.gov.vn) – In the afternoon of April 23, Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Xuan Binh of the City People’s Committee checked the preparation for commencement of the Hoa River Bridge Construction investment project. Also participating were leaders of the Departments of Transport, Construction, Finance, City Police, Vinh Bao District People’s Committee.

The Hoa River Bridge construction investment project was approved by the City People’s Committee in Decision no. 869/QD-UBND dated April 10, 2019 and assigned to Hai Phong Bridges Project Management Board. The project is identified by the City Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee as a key project of the city in 2019.
According to report from the Management Board, regarding the ground, the Management Board is cooperating with Vinh Bao District People’s Committee to prepare the ground to organize the Groundbreaking Ceremony, expected to be completed by the end of April 2019; regarding clearance of bombs and mines, currently, the High Command of Military Zone 3 has assigned functional units to organize the implementation; The Prime Minister issued Document no. 273/TTg-CN allowing Hai Phong City People’s Committee to build a permanent bridge to replace the Hoa River pontoon bridge.
Speaking on site, the Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee – Nguyen Xuan Binh said that this project was a joint project of Hai Phong Party Standing Committee and Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and was the first project in the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution 45 to implement regional connectivity for socio-economic development tasks.
The Permanent Vice Chairman proposed the Project Management Board, Vinh Bao District People’s Committee and other Departments and branches to focus on site clearance; prepare well orders and procedures; preparation for the Commencement Ceremony must be carried out carefully; and after commencement, immediately start construction to ensure the project’s progress.
