In the afternoon of March 8, in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong City Party Standing Committee worked with FLC Group on the plan of implementing some projects in Hai Phong city; Bamboo Airways opening a number of domestic and international routes at Cat Bi International Airport, Hai Phong. Attending the meeting, on the side of Hai Phong city leaders, were comrades: Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council; Nguyen Thi Nghia, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong’s National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of City Party Committee, Chairman of City People’s Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches. On the side of FLC Group, there were Chairman of the Board of FLC Group Joint Stock Company – Trinh Van Quyet and leaders and officers of FLC Group.

At the meeting, the leader of FLC Group presented a diagram of the location of FLC Group’s investment projects in the city including 6 projects: Project of Do Son complex of services, tourism and high-class ecological villas; Project of urban complex and ecological resort in Hai An district; New urban area project in Tan Thanh ward; Project of commercial, service, high-class housing Complex at 4 Tran Phu (70-story tower); Project in the area of young people’s cultural house at 45 Lach Tray; FAM-Hai Phong High Technology Application Agricultural Project.
Regarding Bamboo Airways, the Group currently operates 14 domestic routes with 1,367 flights and 138,850 passengers. In 2019, the Group will open 40 more domestic and international routes; in which from Hai Phong will be 4 domestic flights to Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc; 4 international routes to Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Siem Reap.
FLC Group recommended that the city direct to accelerate the adjustment progress of Hai Phong city’s general planning as a basis for implementing the next steps of the FLC Do Son high-class service, resort and eco-tourism Complex Project; direct related agencies to coordinate with the Group to update plans and ideas into the general planning project of Hai Phong city as a basis for project implementation in the coming time. For 5 new proposed projects, the Group asked the city to agree policy-wise for the Group to conduct research and propose new investment projects; at the same time, direct concerned agencies to deploy the necessary procedures to serve as a basis for implementing the next steps. Regarding the plan to open flight routes to Cat Bi airport, the Group suggested that the city sent a written request to the Ministry of Transport and the Aviation Department of Vietnam to approve opening several flight routes of the Company to Cat Bi airport…
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of FLC Group – Trinh Van Quyet said that Hai Phong city is a locality that attracted the attention of FLC Group and expressed his desire to invest in the city, contributing projects into the growth of the city and for FLC Group to be considered by the city as a strategic investor to invest in the implementation of projects. Mr. Trinh Van Quyet also proposed to the city that the focal point is the leader of the City People’s Committee to directly guide and urge departments and branches to handle the affairs of the two sides; there should be a timeline for the projects that the Group offers, if the ground is cleared, timelines should be given for commencements and also proposed departments and agencies to flexibly apply legal provisions to quickly perform investment procedures.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Van Thanh, City Party Committee Secretary and City People’s Council Chairman, congratulated the success of FLC Group over the past time, the achievements were very impressive in the fields of tourism, urban, health, education development and especially the opening of an airline. The Group’s products are well known by the people with good quality and fast deployment speed. FLC works are deployed on a large scale, with guaranteed quality and efficiency. These results have contributed to enhancing the position and image of the country.
Comrade Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that Hai Phong was a city with its own characteristics, an important position, being the center of the Northern coastal region, the largest industrial, commercial and service center in the North; over the years, the city had achieved many encouraging results. In particular, the Politburo recently issued Resolution 45, which is an important Resolution for the city’s socio-economic development. He affirmed that in order for Hai Phong city to develop into an industrialized and modernized city as required by Resolution no. 45 of the Politburo, Hai Phong desperately needed the contribution of the community of businesses and business people regarding investment. The city always creates the most favorable conditions to attract investors to the city. FLC Group is an investor from which the city expects great potential.
In the coming time, the city will focus on the relevant tasks of FLC Group, will listen to the relevant work contents of the Group monthly and will create the most favorable environment for the enterprise to implement. In addition to the projects proposed by the Group, he also asked the Group to study some other locations to effectively exploit the potentials and advantages. Regarding the opening of new flight routes from Hai Phong, the City Party Committee Secretary assigned the city’s Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to timely advise the city to send more documents to the Vietnam Aviation Department to open 8 more flights from Hai Phong; at the same time, he requested the Group to study opening flights to Can Tho city.
