CITY LEADER RECEIVES, WORKS WITH TASK FORCE OF TOMAKOMAI CITY, HOKKAIDO PREFECTURE, JAPAN



On Thursday afternoon, vice chairman of Haiphong people’s committee Nguyen Van Thanh received and worked with the task force of Tomakomai city, Hokkaido prefecture, Japan on their visit to the city to learn and seek for cooperation opportunities The delegation was led by Mr Kimura Tsukasa, former chairman of Tomakomai council.

Vice chairman of Haiphong people’s committee introduced about the city’s social, economic situation, infrastructure and educational achievements of Haiphong in recent years. He hoped that via this visit and working session, the task force will seek more cooperation opportunities in Haiphong.

Mr. Kimura Tsukasa, former chairman of Tomakomai council gave an overview of Tomakomai city, the main gateway port of Hokkaido prefecture in the north of Japan  with strong points in tourism, entertainment, ocean transport. Now many Vietnamese students are studying here. Mr. Kimura Tsukasa hoped that the city’s robust development, good investment and business climate are favorable conditions for Tomakomai city in cooperation. At the working session, the 2 sides exchanged important issues related to cooperation, paid special attention to education, tourism and vocational training./.
