CHINA INCREASES TUNA IMPORTS FROM VIETNAM

According to VASEP, this year, China imports more fresh tuna from Vietnam over  the previous year, especially the frozen ones

The export value of this item to China makes up more than 98% of the total exports over the past 7 months. Vietnam is currently the fifth biggest supplier of frozen products for the highest populated nation in the world (representing 7% of the market share). While China increases tuna imports from Vietnam, the exports of this item to Thailand, the Philippines see declining tendency, though these 2 nations are benefiting the same tariffs as Vietnam. It is forecasted, China will continue to be a promising market for the tuna enterprises of Vietnam./.
