OCIO-ECONOMIC CRITERIA OF HAIPHONG IN MAY 2020
In the past 5 months, IIP of Haiphong is estimated to increase 10.48% over April and 3.35% over the same period of 2019.
Noticeably, the mining sector increased 20.65%; processing and manufacturing industry rose by 10.97%; the electricity generation and distribution up 6.25%; water supply, waste and sewage treatment reduced 0.3%. Generally in May, the IIP of Haiphong is estimated to jump 13.01% over the same period last year, the lowest growth in the period of 5 months in the recent 3 years.
CPI in May declined 0.1% over April, up 3.17% against the same period of 2019. Average CPI in the first 5 months increased 4.97% year on year.
The total cargo retail and turnover from consumptions services in May are estimated to fetch VND 12,055.7 billion, rising 32.63% over April, up 12.82 against the same period of the previous year. In the past 5 months, the total cargo retail and turnover from consumptions services are estimated to record VND 54,322.1 billion, up 3.45% over the same period of 2019./.
